About

Preliminary Program

The Summer School intends to give a select group of around 25 young academics from European countries or beyond, including transition economies, an opportunity to gain exposure to frontier research on a contemporary theme in economics and econometrics that involvesboth theory and practice.  The teaching will be conducted through theoretical lectures and practical sessions provided by some of the world’s leading academics in relevant fields.

Each day of the Summer School will consist of two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The morning session will be in the form of lectures and will last four hours with a coffee break in the middle..  There is a break in the afternoon, and then the practical session starts at around 18:00 and lasts for two-and-a-half hours.  These sessions are intended to illustrate and complement the morning lectures sessions.  There will be also informal contacts between students and faculty during lunch, tea and coffee breaks, and dinners.
