In order to fulfill its constitutional mission, the University of Crete collects and processes personal data of its university and administrative staff, students, suppliers and users of its services.
The University of Crete treats the issues of protection and security of personal data with seriousness and sensitivity in accordance with the provisions of 2016/679 General Data Protection Regulation .
The University of Crete has appointed since May 2018 a Group of Experts on Personal Data Protection (GDPR Task Force) in a continuous effort to take appropriate measures and decisions for the legal processing and circulation of this data, such as the Regulation and the national legislation lay down.
